Secretary

Gildernew & Co. is a modern, dynamic chartered accountancy firm delivering accounting, tax and advisory solutions to a wide range of businesses and individuals. 

 We are presently recruiting an experienced Secretary for our Dungannon office.  

 The role includes: 

  • Facilitating the smooth running of the practice by working as part of our practice support team and efficiently undertaking all required administrative tasks. 
  • Offering a professional and friendly service to our clients in person, on the telephone or on email. 
  • Typing, filing, and archiving duties. 
  • Undertaking administrative tasks such as note taking, letter writing, scanning and file management. 
  • Completing all documentation required for clients. 
  • Photocopying, and compiling of documentation. 
  • Managing a neat filing system and diary system of key dates for allocated fee-earners. 
  • Other duties relevant to the role. 

 Personal attributes required: 

  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Word and Excel) 
  • Ability to work independently and to use own initiative 
  • Discretion and respect for client confidentiality 
  • Motivated individual  
  • Ability to work under tight time restraints 

 Experience: 

Previous experience working in an administrative role as legal secretary, medical secretary or equivalent professional role is essential. 

 Essential Skills: 

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads 
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy levels 
  • Strong typing skills 
  • Be able to work successfully as part of a team

 Working hours: 

  • Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5.30pm 
  • Friday 8.45am to 3.00pm
