Senior Manager – Advisory

Karen is a Senior Manager within the Advisory Team at Gildernew & Co and has 10 years experience working on insolvency and advisory assignments.

Karen completed her training contract within the Restructuring department of a Big Four accountancy firm where she gained experience of formal insolvency and advisory assignments, many of which were high profile in nature.

She has experience of formal insolvency appointments having dealt with various administrations, liquidations, receiverships, bankruptcies and voluntary arrangements across a broad range of industry sectors.

Karen has previously been seconded to Ireland’s largest financial institution where she worked on the deleveraging of c.€1.1bn of non-performing loans.

Karen has a variety of commercial experience and has significant experience within the construction, retail, motor, manufacturing, technological and childcare sectors.

She has been involved in Independent Business Reviews of Northern Irish businesses in the contracting, retail and commercial property sectors; high profile winding down Administrations within the retail, construction and manufacturing sectors; analysing cash flows of trading businesses to advise on strategic options; and providing assistance to financial institutions in relation to non-performing loans.

Karen is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI).

Karen holds an Honours degree in Accountancy and Law (BSc Hons) from Ulster University as well as a Diploma in International Academic Studies for her Study of Business in Montana, USA.
